The Powertouch 480 phones from Aastra (TEV03211) are phones that are very well integrated with the Artisoft Televantage phone system. These phones are pre-programmed for the Altigen system. These phones are not just phones with codes stored in buttons, they are scripted, menu driven context sensitive phones, the easiest to use! This phone is specific to Artisoft Televantage, do not try and use with other phone systems.
The screen function keys for the PT-480e TEV03211 change based on what you are doing. So, for example, on the idle state screen when you are not on a call, you'll have access to pickup, dial, voicemail, intercom, status and more. Each of those options then provide other options, for example, the pickup screen then allows you to pickup your held calls, pickup a parked call, pickup any ringing phone, or, picklup a specific ringing phone. The status screen allows you to set do not disturb, say you are in a meeting, on vacation, or out of the office. When on a call, you'll be offered functions to transfer, hold, park, conference, flash and conference. In short, no need to memorize all those codes like you have to with a regular phone!
The visual voicemail feature allows you to scroll through the messages, you can see caller, date, time. You can play, stop, delete, save, etc messages all from the display. You can also mark a message as protected via a password. The visual call park feature allows you to see the calls that are parked, the caller ID info, who parked it.
