These smaller power inverters are designed to be used within an automobile or vehicle by plugging into the cigarette lighter. 150 Watt inverters can easily power video games, portable DVD players, notebook computers, vcr, camcorder, small stereo system, and 17" TVs. They can power any device up to their wattage rating. 300 Watt inverters can power 19" TVs, blenders, small power tools, 16" fans, work lights, etc. Please note in many cases your car cigarette lighter socket is on a 20 AMP circuit, meaning you will not get more than 200 Watts using that type of connection.
