The ITW Linx Towermax Cat 5e-LAN, CAT5-LAN, is an add-on module for the Towermax 4 or 8 KSU base modules. Typical uses for this module include protection between buildings as a building entrance protector (UL 497).
The ITW CAT5-LAN allows you to protect pins 1-8 of a network Cat 5e cable (not for voice!). The Towermax Cat 5e-LAN features a 110 punchdown block for inputs and output. The module is entirely solid state. 16 VDC clamping voltage.
The ITW Linx CAT5-LAN measures 4.25" X 4.25" X 1.42". The clamping level is 16V. This unit meets or exceeds the TIA/EIA 568 and 758 standards for Cat 5e. The TIA 758 standard requires the use of a building entrance protector for Cat 5e applications. Lifetime product warranty, $50,000 connected equipment warranty. |
