The ITW Linx Towermax Cat 6-LAN, CAT6-LAN, is an add-on module for the Towermax 4 or 8 KSU base modules. Typical uses for this module include protection between buildings as a primary building entrance protector (UL 497), or, an isolated loop protector (UL 497B).
The ITW CAT6-LAN allows you to protect pins 1-8 of a network Cat 6 cable (not for voice!), such as outside plant Data/UTP cable. The Towermax Cat 6-LAN features a 110 punchdown block for inputs and output. The module is entirely solid state. Clamping voltage is 16 VDC.
The ITW Linx CAT6-LAN measures 4.25" X 4.25" X 1.42". This unit meets or exceeds the TIA/EIA 568-B.2-1 and 758 standards for Cat 6. The TIA 758 standard requires the use of a building entrance protector for Cat 6 applications. Lifetime product warranty, $50,000 connected equipment warranty. |
