The ITW Linx Max8 DBS can protect up to 8 AC lines, 2 antenna/cable TV lines, 2 satellite lines, and one single-line phone line. The unit has 4 always on outlets, and 4 switched outlets. The outlets are spaced to allow room for transformers. The unit is plugged into a wall outlet via a space saving right-angle plug, and has an 8 foot cord. The Max 8 DBS has indicator lights for line fault, ground ok, unsafe voltage, and power protection ok. This unit has Surgegate Plus circuitry to protect against prolonged over or under voltage situations.

For the 4 sets of coax lines, the Max8DBS contains a shielded SignalPerfect circuit, ensuring a clean, clear connection, and is HDTV ready. Two RG6 coax cables are included.

The satellite lines have a clamping level of 27V, insertion loss is <1db. Frequency range is 950Mhz-2Ghz. The coax lines have a clamping level of 0.7V, insertion loss is <1db. Frequency range is 50Mhz-1Ghz.

One phone line (pins 3 and 4) is also protected by the Max 8 DBS via the RJ11/45 jacks, and a telephone cable is included. The clamping level is 260V, and the capacitance is about 30pf.

Typical uses for this protector include a satellite system with up to two receivers, or a computer with cable modem and analog modem. The M8DBS can also be used to custom make a protector using optional allpath signal line modules from Panamax called Allpath modules, though the use of such modules will make any connected equipment warranty claim unlikely. It does, however, work well.

Eliminates 99.7% of EMI,RFI interference.

Thw Max 8 DBS can handle up to 15A at 1800W of equipment. The response time is less than 1 nanosecond, and it is UL1449 rated at 330V. The spike capacity is 52,000A.

The unit measures 12.7" X 4.5" X 1.9".
