The Intellitouch On Hold Plus OHP 6500 is NOT for use with phone systems (as in PBX system or KSU) other than the ITC-420 or Visys, see the OHP 6000 for that. This model is for use with single or multi-line analog phones, or the Visys from RCA and the ITC-420 from Intellitouch. You can use the OHP 6500 with up to 4 phone lines. In the box, is 2 TEHMA adapters which you use to easily place a call on hold ITC-420 only) by pressing your phones hold button. Without a TEHMA (Visys), you can still place a call on hold by pressing ** and then (optionally) the phones hold button. The TEHMA hooks up between the phones base, and the handset. The TEHMA will work with cordless phones, but, only those with a headset jack where a headset is used. Otherwise, you can still use ** to place the call on hold and play the source material. You should only need one OHP 6500, it will work for up to 50 extensions!
