This is the ultimate product in the Monster Power product line!. The HTPS7000 has a total of 12 AC outlets, and protection for 3 coax connections (1 satellite, 2 non-satellite) and 1 phone connection. This unit uses Monster dual balanced circuitry via twin isolation transformers. Power is balanced between the positive and negative lines. This has the effect of removing all interference from your system, including noises from powerline oscillations and the hum, static, and buzz they cause. Monsters MP-HTPS7000 features Monsters Proprietary Clean Power Stage 5 Version 2.0 Filtering, designed by world-renowned power expert Richard Marsh. Polluted AC power can cause problems such as loss of depth, imaging, video resolution, audio clarity. Analog equipment can also interfere with digital components, producing broadband noise.
Each of the back 12 AC outlets (in pairs) on the HTPS7000 are programmable as unswitched, switched, switched with delay, or remote operation, a nice feature. This programming is done from the FRONT of the unit, not the back or top for the ultimate in convenience! This unit can be connected to a receiver or pre-amp, and be turned on when those units are turned on. This can be done via AC or DC connections, but no DC cord is included.
The HTPS7000 has 5 discrete filter sections: 2 digital (2 outlets each), one high current audio (4 outlets), 1 video (2 outlets), and 1 analog audio (2 outlets). This prevents analog equipment from sharing a common ground with digital components, which can produce broadband noise.
The HTPS7000 has 3 coax connectors which allow you to connect 1 satellite, and 2 non-satellite devices such as antenna, or downline TV. The F connectors are gold plated. The phone connector has a built in splitter, and an anti-collision feature. Jumper cables are included. The phone surge protection is via a gas-tube arrester.
On the back of the HTPS7000 is a 12V DC input trigger that can be used for turning the unit on and off. There is also a 15A circuit breaker, and a ground lug.
The front of the HTPS7000 has dual illuminated digital meters that measure incoming voltage and current draw. There are LED indicators for the various filters, Ground OK, Protection On, Clean Power On, and a few others. There are switches for Dimmer, remote on/off, on, and off, and to set up the outlets for switching, delaying, etc.
The HTPS7000 is rated at 1800 watts continuous. Distortion is < .01%. It has a 3145 joule rating, the highest you will find on the market. Clamping level is 75V for the coax connectors, and 330V for the power lines.
The MP-HTPS7000 measures 17" X 14.5" X 5" and has an 8 ft Powerline 300 gold plated contact power cord.
