The MP-HTFS1000 is designed to be used with a remote plasma, LCD, or HDTV display. The Monster Power MP-HTFS1000 has a total of 2 color coded AC outlets (one of them is always on), and, is flat enough to fit behind your screen. Monsters HTFS1000 features Monsters Proprietary HDTV Filter to provide a superb picture. This filter not only removes EMI/RFI interference, but, also digital and video noise coming from other components in your system. This filter outperforms the one on the HTFS500 for the ultimate picture. There is also a 12V DC trigger so that outlets can be switched on or off via the trigger. The HTFS1000 has a diagnostic control panel, which is removeable. So, you can put the panel for example on the bottom or top of your screen if you wish to see it or have access to it.
The MP-HTFS1000 has an audible alarm for surges, a visual protection on indicator, a wiring reversed indicator, clean power indicator, and a digital display for voltage/amperage. To switch between displaying voltage and amperage, there is a button. and a ground ok indicator. Unlike many other protectors, this unit has tri mode protection so that large surges are disconnected before damaging your equipment. This is better surge protection than the HTFS500 which only has dual mode.
The HTFS1000 is rated at 1800 watts continuous. Distortion is < .01%. It has a 3145 joule rating. AC clamping is at 330V.
The HTFS1000 has an 8 ft Powerline 200 gold contact power cord, using a flat-profile design to allow closer wall clearance. The dimensions are 13" X 5.5" X 1.5".
