The HT 850 is an entry level product in the Monster Power product line, and is perfect for a small satellite (without phone protection) or cable systems. The MP-HT850 has a total of 8 AC outlets, and protection for 1 coax connection (satellite, antenna, or cable). Monsters HT850 features Monsters Proprietary Clean Power Stage 1 Filtering Version 2.0. Polluted AC power can cause problems such as loss of depth, imaging, audio clarity.
The MP-HT850 can easily be wall mounted, it comes with a mounting bracket to mount on the wall or back of your entertainment center. With this unit wall mounted, you'll need a lot less space behind your equipment since the outlets are on the side. All outlets are color coded. There are 6 side mounted outlets to minimize space used, and 2 side mounted outlets on the front and back of the unit which allow space for transformers if needed.
The F connector is gold plated.
The HT-850 has an audible alarm for surges. Lights are provided for ground ok, protection on, wiring reversed, and clean power on.
The HT850 is rated at 1800 watts continuous. Distortion is < .01%. It has a 2590 joule rating. AC clamping is at 330V, coax clamping is at 75V.
