The products on this page are used with paging systems from Valcom. Hookup is typically via Cat 3+ (Cat 5, Cat 6) cable. Typically, the phone system has a external paging output, that uses one pair of wire. A second pair of wire comes from this power supply, and also runs to the speaker(s). So, typically, you would mount the power adapter in the same room as the phone system, 1 pair goes to the power adapter, one pair goes to the phone system. Both pairs then run from there through your building to the speaker(s) as they require 4 wires. |
