The Panamax M8-HT is a base module that allows you to add-on other modular products. When used alone, this product can protect up to 8 AC lines, the 8 outlets are switched via an on-off switch. It can also protect coax lines (Antenna, Cable TV, Cable Modem) (Time Warner certified, works with any cable system) and satellite lines (Echostar Certified, works with any DBS system), as well as a telephone line. The outlets are spaced to allow room for transformers. The unit is plugged into a wall outlet via a space saving right-angle plug (45 degree offset), and has an 8 foot cord. The M8-HT has indicator lights for ground ok, unsafe voltage, and power on/protection ok.
The Panamax M8-HT has 3 IN/OUT pairs of gold-plated universal female F connectors to protect satellite or non-satellite coax lines. These lines are clamped at 75V with an insertion loss of <0.5dB and a frequency range of 0MHz - 2.2 GHz. A 4 foot jumper cable is included. There are also 3 RJ-11 phone connectors (1 IN, 2 OUT). A 4 foot phone cable is included. The phone line connectors have a clamping level of 260V. The unit contains a shielded SignalPerfect circuit, ensuring a clean, clear connection, and is HDTV compatible.
The Panamax M8-HC has Surgegate Plus circuitry to protect against prolonged brownouts as well as over-voltage. It also is easily expandable via optional add-on signal line modules sold separately. You can NOT use the old style Allpath modules with the M8-HC
EMI,RFI noise filtration is 50dB (100kHz-1 MHz).
The M8-HC can handle up to 15A at 1800W of equipment. The response time is less than 1 nanosecond, and it is UL1449 rated at 330V. The spike capacity is 65,000A.
The M8-HC measures 12" X 5" X 1.75", and can be wall mounted (brackets and screws included). Warranty is lifetime IF purchased through an Panamax Authorized Internet Dealer. Otherwise, you have *no* warranty. |
