This is an add-on product for the Max In wall PowerKit-Pro, Powerkit-MOB, and the Max In Wall Power products. Generally, you need to order 2 MIW-DATA as you need one for each end of the system.
The MIW-POWER-PRO, MIW-DUAL-SIGNAL-BAY or MIW-POWER-3BAY requires use of one of the add on interconnect modules in order to protect your system, this is one of those modules. This module is optional on the Powerkit-Pro and the Powerkit-MOB but does clean up the installation better and reduces noise. Use this module if you require connections of the Ethernet or RS-232 Serial style to your remote device. The MIW-DATA provides 2 RJ-45 female connectors. The one RJ-45 connector can be used for 10/100 Ethernet, the other connector has 8 screw down terminals in the back and is used for serial communications. The connection on the in wall side for the ethernet portion is a female RJ-45.
The MIW-DATA provides additional protection for the interconnect cables connected to it, which is required for the MIW-POWER-PRO, MIW-DUAL-SIGNAL-BAY, and MIW-POWER-3BAY as it has two different ground references. The clamping level is 8-10V for the ethernet connection, and, 15-24V for the serial portion. Comes with a 3 year warranty IF purchased through an Panamax Authorized Internet Dealer. Otherwise, you have *no* warranty. |
