This is an add-on product for the Max In wall PowerKit-TL, Powerkit-MOB, and the Max In Wall Power products. Generally, you need to order 2 MIW-VGA as you need one for each end of the system.
The MIW-POWER or MIW-POWER-3BAY requires use of one of the add on interconnect modules in order to protect your system, this is one of those modules. This module is optional on the Powerkit-TL and the Powerkit-MOB but does clean up the installation better and reduces noise. Use this module if you require connections of the VGA style to your remote plasma TV or projector. The MIW-VGA provides 1 HD DB15 female connector, and one 3.5mm female stereo mini jack. The HDDB15 connector can be used for RGBHV and component video. Use the VGA connector with DVI or HDMI cabling via an adapter you can buy. The 3.5mm jack can be used for IR, stereo audio, and 12V triggering. Some of these uses may require an adapter cable. The connection on the in wall side is BNC as this provides the best signal transfer and has a sure connection, there are 5 BNC connections.
The MIW-VGA provides additional protection for the interconnect cables connected to it, which is required for the MIW-POWER and MIW-POWER-3BAY as it has two different ground references. The clamping level is 9V for the video, and 15V for the 3.5mm connector. Comes with a 3 year warranty IF purchased through an Panamax Authorized Internet Dealer. Otherwise, you have *no* warranty. |
