The Panamax PM8-EX (Powermax8) can protect up to 8 AC lines and no other signal paths. The unit has 4 always on outlets, and 4 switched outlets. The outlets are spaced to allow room for transformers. The unit is plugged into a wall outlet via a space saving right-angle plug, and has a 6 foot cord. The unit also has a "ground ok" light and a Protection/Power on light.
Typical uses for the PM8-EX include protecting appliances, garage equipment, or stand alone stereo equipment. You can also use this unit to expand an existing surge protector when you need more AC outlets by plugging this unit into the other (daisy-chain), though, we would recommend the less expensive Surgeprotector 8 for this purpose. The PM8-EX can be expanded via optional signal line modules.
