The Polycom Soundpoint IP 301, model 2200-11131-025, is a 2 line VOIP phone using SIP that works as a local extension with Talkswitch VS models, 48-CA or CVA running the Talkswitch 4.0 software version or later. The Soundpoint 301 is not a speakerphone. We only support this phone when used as a Talkswitch local extension, so, if that is not how you want to use it, we cannot support you, however, you may buy it anyway if you wish.
Features of the 2200-11131-025 include:
- The Polycom 301 is a 2 "Line" phone, 2 calls at once. In the Talkswitch world, this equates to a 2 call appearance phone as lines = calls
- 2 Port Ethernet Switch, plug phone into wall, computer into phone, no extra hub needed
- LCD Display is 4 lines, 20 characters per line
- The Polycom 301 uses flash memory, settings are maintained in the event of a power loss
- The phone is NOT powered by POE (Power over Ethernet), it comes with a power adapter though you can buy a POE adapter. Or, simply order the POE version (different item on our site). To use POE, you do need a router or switch that supports it.
- Provisioning will be done by the Talkswitch phone system, so, easy to install compared to other SIP phones
