The Polycom Soundpoint IP 601, model 2200-11631-001, is a 6 line VOIP speakerphone using SIP that works as a local extension with Talkswitch VS models, 48-CA or CVA running a the Talkswitch 4.0 software version or later. We only support this phone when used as a Talkswitch local extension, so, if that is not how you want to use it, we cannot support you, however, you may buy it anyway if you wish.
Features of the 2200-11631-001 include:
- The Polycom 601 is a 6 "Line" phone, 6 calls at once. In the Talkswitch world, this equates to a 6 call appearance phone as lines = calls
- 2 Port Ethernet Switch, plug phone into wall, computer into phone, no extra hub needed
- LCD Display is 320 x 160 pixels
- The Polycom 601 uses flash memory, settings are maintained in the event of a power loss
- Provisioning will be done by the Talkswitch phone system, so, easy to install compared to other SIP phones
- The phone is powered by POE (Power over Ethernet), it also comes with a power adapter. To use POE, you do need a router or switch that supports it.
