The Polycom Voicestation 500 is similar to the Voicestation 300, but, adds Bluetooth capability. This allows you to connect to Bluetooth devices such as mobile phones and pcs. It also supports wired connections via the 2.5mm connector or analog phone line. PC connections are nice in that you can use Internet services such a Skype. This unit is for small conference rooms or offices, and is designed as a superior alternative to half-duplex speakerphones. The Voicestation 500 is suitable for use by up to 4 people, microphone range is about 7 feet. You can hold a meeting at any time, without a conference room. This phone allows full duplex operation. Speakers can talk and hear at the same time, providing a natural 2 way conversation, no one person at a time problem. The unit adjusts to your room to filter out background noise such as fans, projectors, heating, air conditioning, and more. It comes with 3 microphones, giving 360 degree coverage, and one speaker. Buttons include flash, redial, hold, mute. It also has a data port to allow your phone, modem, fax, etc. to be plugged in at the same time. There is also a RCA jack to allow recording.
