The Powertouch 480e phone(s) from AAstra (TEV13211) are by *far* the easiest to use analog phones for the Talkswitch! The Talkswitch TS-600 we sell is also of similar functionality. There is no comparison for ease of use between the Aastra Powertouch phones, and the other analog phones when used with Talkswitch. These phones are pre-programmed for the Talkswitch system. These phones are not just phones with codes stored in buttons, they are scripted, menu driven context sensitive phones, the easiest to use! This phone is *not* the same as the PT-480e sold on most competitors sites! Those are nothing more than plain Aastra phones with a few defined buttons (and a different Aastra part number), they are much less expensive! This is the TEV13211 model of the PT-480e. If you are interested in the cheaper version of the phone, instead, go with the PT-470 which is much better for Talkswitch. These phones are professionally programmed (via a programming language) to work with Talkswitch seamlessly. The PT-480e TEV13211 has a headset port, consider the PT-390 TES13211 if you do not require a headset, save some money. This is a great Talkswitch 24-CA phone.

The Talkswitch 24-CA is the smallest of the Talkswitch family of products. The Talkswitch 24-CA has inputs for 2 incoming phone lines, and outputs for up to 4 extensions. You can also program up to 10 (software version 4.0 only, previous versions have 8) remote extensions (off site), these can be cell phones or anything else with a phone number. This allows you to have a central phone number no matter where you are. The system uses analog phones. A Talkswitch 24-CA can be upgraded to a 48-CA via an upgrade kit should you outgrow it. The 48-CA could then be upgraded to a 48-CVA for VOIP capabilities. The Talkswitch 24-CA is ideal for a home office, or other small office environment.
Surge Protection for your Talkswitch 24-CA, if an option is shown above, can be added. The most likely reason your Talkswitch 24-CA will fail over time is surge related damage, not necessarily lightning. We offer guaranteed protection, assuming you hook it up properly, it *will* protect your system. Properly hooked up means the Talkswitch 24-CA, the LAN connector, incoming phone line ports, and extension ports that go to powered devices must all be hooked up to the same protector. So, even if you have a UPS, you still need these devices to protect your system. Our system has protection for 4 power cords, 1 LAN connector, and, some numbers of ports, pick the appropriate number for your system. If for example you pick "2 ports", this means a total of 2 incoming lines and extensions running to your Talkswitch 24-CA. So, "Ports" refers to the total of powered extension phones, fax machines, or devices, and, incoming lines.
If you have considered or purchased a Talkswitch system before, check out the new features of software version 5.0. These include remote IP phone support as local extensions (except the 24-CA), additional IP extensions for a total of 16 extensions per box, 12 additional voicemailboxes for a total of 36, up to 2 hours of voicemail or recordings, multilingual interface, line and queue appearance, and other improvements.p>
Pretty much, you can expect once setup for the Talkswitch 24-CA to run itself. It is a full featured PBX system, very powerful. There are other auto attendant services you can buy, but it won't take long for you to pay for this system with what they charge. Also, you will have a lot more features that are needed in todays business environment. Unlike the typical PBX system, this system does not require a highly paid technician to program and maintain as your business changes!
