This kit allows you to upgrade your Talkswitch 244VS to a Talkswitch 484VS with 8 local extensions. The Talkswitch 484VS has inputs for 4 incoming phone lines, 4 VOIP trunk lines via the ethernet connector, and outputs for up to 8 analog or SIP local extensions. You can also program up to 10 remote extensions (off site), these can be cell phones or anything else with a phone number. The system uses analog phones, and can also use IP phones via VOIP as local extensions with or without the upgrade.
In general, this is not a cost effective way to upgrade a 244VS. You might consider adding a 240VS to your system. The 244VS plus the 240VS is the same as a 484VS, just in two boxes, but, you also get more voicemail, and, 10 extra remote extensions, for less money. |
