The Powertouch 390 phone(s) from Aastra (TES13211) are by *far* the easiest to use analog phones for the Talkswitch! The Talkswitch TS-600 we sell is also of similar functionality. There is no comparison for ease of use between the Aastra Powertouch phones, and the other analog phones when used with Talkswitch. These phones are pre-programmed for the Talkswitch system. These phones are not just phones with codes stored in buttons, they are scripted, menu driven context sensitive phones, the easiest to use! This phone is *not* the same as the PT-390 sold on most competitors sites! Those are nothing more than plain Aastra phones with a few defined buttons (and a different Aastra part number), they are much less expensive! This is the TES13211 model of the PT-390. These phones are professionally programmed (via a programming language) to work with Talkswitch seamlessly. Talkswitch 488VS is the owner-friendly™ hybrid analog / IP phone system. The Talkswitch 488VS is a member of the Talkswitch family of products. It is an expandable analog / IP PBX system. A single Talkswitch 488VS has up to 4 analog phone lines, 8 VOIP phone lines or paths, 8 analog or IP extensions, and an additional 8 IP extensions for a total of 16 extensions. You can hook up to 4 Talkswitch models (mix and match) together (networked). Hooking multiple units together adds together each boxes incoming lines, VOIP trunks, local extensions, and remote extensions, functioning as a single integrated phone system. As an example, 4 Talkswitch 488VS hooked together provides 16 analog incoming lines, 32 VOIP phone lines or paths, 32 analog or IP local extensions, an additional 32 IP extensions, and 40 remote extensions. It functions as one phone system. On a Talkswitch 488VS, you can program up to 10 remote extensions (off site), these can be cell phones or anything else with a phone number. VOIP paths can be used for 3 purposes, they are shared for all 3 uses. The first use is to register VOIP phone lines, using a Talkswitch SIPConnect partner, no ATA or VOIP adapter needed. Secondly, the Talkswitch 488VS supports remote IP phones as local extensions, great for Teleworkers, you can have up to 8 active calls from Teleworkers at the same time. The limitations and terms are the same as the Talkswitch 488VS Warranty, so, for example, surge damage is excluded. Surge Protection for your Talkswitch 488VS can be added. The most likely reason your Talkswitch 488VS will fail over time is surge related damage, not necessarily lightning. We offer guaranteed protection, assuming you hook it up properly, it *will* protect your system. Properly hooked up means the Talkswitch 488VS, the LAN connector, incoming analog phone line ports, and analog extension ports that go to powered devices must all be hooked up to the same protector. Caller ID name substitution - Replace the caller-ID name for an incoming call with a name of your choice ("Alpha-tagging").
Talkswitch 488VS can limit callers ability to dial out via an access code on specified extensions (think of it like security). 911 would not be restricted of course. This is useful for phones in lunch rooms or other public areas.

Line and queue appearance. With line appearance, you can see what lines your calls are coming in from. With queue appearance, you are able to see the Caller ID info of who's in your Call Waiting queue, allowing you to prioritize important calls that are on hold for you.
Talkswitch 488VS can accommodate analog or IP local (or remote) extensions. Phones that are auto provisioned include the TalkSwitch TS-9112i, TS-9133i, TS-480i, various Polycom models, and certain Grandstream phones. The Counterpath Eyebeam softphones also work though they are not provisioned, you have to set them up.
Talkswitch Remote extensions act like any other extension, a remote extension is any phone outside your company location, perhaps a home phone, a cell phone. By using IP phones, the external phone is a local extension. Perfect for Teleworkers.

Talkswitch 488VS voicemail memory can be expanded with extra memory sold separately, add up to 9 hours! This memory is used for voicemail, auto attendants, and, message on hold.
