This speaker uses 4 wires for input. 2 of the 4 are for power which needs to be supplied by a Valcom power adapter, and, the other 2 connect to the paging output of your phone system. Works with Talkswitch, Bizfon, Venture IP, and many other phone systems. Please note you only need 1 power adapter, you do not need 1 for each speaker in general. Each Valcom power adapter is rated in "power units". Each speaker draws on those power units. You need more power units from the adapters, than the total consumed by all of the speakers. This helps you size the power adapter for your needs. Wire is supplied by you, typically you use phone wiring, but, we do make adapter connectors for use with the 3 phone systems mentioned above so that you do not have to make your own. The adapter simply converts the mono 3.5mm output of the phone system into 2 bare wires which you then connect to your wiring.
