The Viking PA-2A is a device with many potential uses. It can simply be used with up to 6 phone lines, in a KSU or PBX less system (i.e., multi line phones), and, ring an outside horn whenever a line rings. The PA-2A includes a power adapter, a horn, and, the device itself. You can also hook up a night transfer switch which is not included, you could buy these at say Radio Shack, a simple toggle switch. This will allow it to be turned off (or on depending on your application) at night. The horn has 2 watts of power, and, is very loud, a volume control is used to adjust the volume.
The PA-2A has 4 different ringing sounds, an electronic warble, double gong, quadruple chime, and a door chime. It can also be hooked up to a paging port (or unused CO line port) on a PBX or KSU system. In this configuration, the paging is of course amplified with an adjustible volume control.
It is possible to connect multiple PA-2A together if you need more lines. On really long runs to the horn, you may need to supply additional power. See the product page link below for an instruction manual. |
